BETMAN
Those of you who think of me as a serious actor must be reminded that Batman is not real. We created our classic movie and TV show from a toon. That is why I’ve been asked to write these few words.
For those, like myself, who are as emotionally scarred as the creator of these pages is (or at least pretends to be), this book arrives too late. Had we this book in hand years ago, some of us could have won fortunes in toon trivia wagers.
Imagine being able to challenge your buddy to put up a hundred on something as remote and esoteric as where Bob Kane got his inspiration for The Joker (page 45). Or what great screen beauty has lips like Donald Duck (page 59). Or which cartoonist was knighted (answer on page 46).
Well, possibly it’s not too late after all. Just turn the pages and read carefully. Then, get someone to “put up or shut up.”
And send Craig Yoe a thank-you note.
P.S. My personal favorite part of the book is page 29. What a profile!

NEW YUK!
The one and only Craig Yoe is a specialist in a curious kind of humor. You too will see it as you go through this book.
He is a master of funny! The old New Yorker had this with its great cartoonists that it must find again. Yoe is not a yo-yo—his name just sounds like it!
